Entering settings for works orders
You must enter some settings in the Manufacturing System Manager before entering your works orders settings.
- If you produce a certificate of conformity A certificate, issued with a product, which states that the product conforms to standard. for products produced and despatched in Works Orders, you must enter certificates of conformity settings.
- You must enter overhead recovery settings as Sage 200 automatically calculates an additional amount to ensure overheads are met, when you cost or complete works order details.

You can raise works orders for specific locations. The locations are set up in the Stock Control module. Select Valid for component source when you set up the warehouse.
- Maintain the warehouse hierarchy also in the Stock Control module.
- You can also set up and use Labour Categories, Employees and Non-Chargeable Time prior to working with works orders. You can use the same details in more than one works order.
To enter the works orders default settings
Open: Works Orders > Utilities > System Set Up > Works Order Settings.
- Enter the setting on the following tabs:
- Numbering.
- Documents.
- Record.
- Timesheets/Labels.
- Allocate/Issue/Complete.
- Operation Times.
- Scrap Reason Codes.
