Create a sales return

Creating a sales return is similar to recording a sales order and involves several tasks.

There are different ways to create a return. You can create a return from scratch or create a sales return from a sales order.

Create a new return

Open: Sales Order Processing > Sales Returns > Enter New Sales Return.

Enter the sales return on the following tabs:

  • Return details.

    Use this to specify the customer details and add the goods, services and costs being returned.

    The total order values and relevant exchange rate are displayed here.

  • Return and credit details.

    Use this to specify the address the goods are being returned from, and to view or change discount values.

Creating returns from orders

This is a quick way to create a return. This can be from any order at any time; e.g. despatched, printed, posted, cancelled.

This copies all the items, prices and exchange rates from an existing sales order and adds them to a return. You can add and remove items from the return and change the quantities and prices.

Create a return from an order

Open: Sales Order Processing List and select New > New Return From Order.

Open: Sales Order Processing > Sales Returns > Enter New Sales Return and click Copy Order.

Once you have copied the order details, amend the return details as required.
