Excel reports available

All of these reports are now available free to Sage 200 customers.

  • All reports are available free with Sage 200 Professional 2021 R1 onwards.

  • If you're using a version of Sage 200 Professional earlier than 2021 R1, then reports indicated as Free from 2021 R1 are only available if you subscribe to Sage 200 Services Extra. These reports will be available free after you update to Sage 200 Professional 2021 R1 or later.

Assets and Liability Reporting

Details of assets and liabilities. All periods within the current financial year are included.

 
Budgets vs Actuals

Use this report to see how much you've spent from your budgets and how much remains, so you can check if you're under or over budget.

You can compare your nominal account budget figures against your actual and committed expenditure, and view figures for selected periods or an annual budget. Use the slicers to view details by cost centre, department, report category, individual nominal accounts or a combined nominal budget. See How to report on your budgets.

Nominal Accounts

Summary of your nominal accounts with month and year-to-date balances.

This report contains credit, debit and balance for the year and for periods, so it could potentially be used to create a custom Trial Balance, working Profit and Loss, or Balance Sheet.

 
Nominal Account Balances

Details of nominal account balances, including data for budget comparisons.

 
Nominal Transactions

Details of transactions on Nominal Ledger accounts.

This report could potentially be used for reconciliation, reporting and graphical analysis by analysis code, or analysing out of period posting.

 
Nominal Archived Transactions This is similar to the Nominal Transactions report but shows archived transactions. Yes
Nominal Budget Overview The Nominal Budget Overview Excel workbook includes budget, actual and committed values for all your nominal accounts. Information is shown across several worksheets, such as Report Category, Cost Centre (fund), Department and Combined Budget. See How to report on your budgets. Yes
Nominal Budgets

This report shows you the position of your nominal account budgets for each accounting period, taking into account actual and committed expenditure.

For each nominal account in each period, you can see your account budget, actual expenditure, committed expenditure, and the budget variance.

Note: The values in this report are affected by your Commitment Reporting settings.

Nominal Commitments This shows all the purchase order lines entered against each nominal account. You can also use this to see how whether any part of an order has been received or invoiced. Yes
Nominal Held Journals Details of journals which are on hold and have not yet been posted. Yes

This report shows your budget position for each nominal account taking into consideration any commitments.

The budget values are calculated from total of the budgets set on each nominal account within the report category. Budgets set at report category level are not included.

Can't see these reports?

Note: Some of these reports were made available free in the 2021 R1 release, and you may not see them in the list until you Restore Default Excel Reports.

You may not be able to see a report if:

  • It's a new Excel report that we've supplied in an update.

  • It has been deleted.

You will need to Restore the report before it is displayed in the Excel Reports list.

Open: Excel Reporting > Restore Default Excel Reports.

  1. Select the box next to the individual reports, or select all reports, and click Restore.

    If the reports already exist, you will be prompted to confirm that you want to overwrite the existing reports.

  2. The report will now be displayed in the Excel Reports list.

Financial data reports

Financial data reports are free for all Sage 200 customers, and include:

  • Assets and Liability Reporting.
  • Revenue and Cost Reporting.
  • Nominal and Account Balances.

Design your financial reports

If you want to use the Revenue and Cost Reporting or Revenue and Cost Reporting reports you'll need to:

  • Make sure you've set up report categories correctly. Use the Report categories option to add report category types, such as Asset or Liability. If any report categories have a type of Undefined, Sage 200 won't be able to process the data for the Excel report.
  • Configure the layout of your reports. Use the Financial Statement Designer to set which accounts are included in each section, and how they are grouped and totalled.

Make your reports available

Make the reports are available to users by adding the reports to the appropriate roles.

  1. Open System Administration.
  2. Select Roles, then right-click the appropriate role and select Features.
  3. Select the reports in Features > Excel Reporting > Reports > Financial Data Pack.
