General (PLN settings)
Open: Planning > Utilities > System Set Up > Planning Settings | General.
Enter the following settings:
Select the number of working days in a week. Planning calculates backwards The system works out when you should start work in order to meet the delivery date. from the due date to determine the order start date.
Enter a number of days to act as a buffer to lead time The number of working days elapsing between placing an order for an item and taking delivery. in the Top Level Safety Planning Time (days) box.
Enter the number of Working Hours Per Day in the hrs and mins boxes.
Select the contact role from the drop-down list. This list contains roles defined in the Maintain Contact Roles window.
Select the default setting for viewing tags in MRP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP). MRP recommends purchase orders, transfers and work orders to balance supply and demand. Recommendation Details and Tags and Exceptions windows.
Select Expanded to view tags set by default as expanded. You can collapse the tags manually.
Select Collapsed to view tags set by default as collapsed. You can expand the tags manually.
Select the default Show action:
All |
Displays all tags. This is the default setting. |
Parents | Displays parent tags only. |
Descendents | Displays descendent tags only. |
Note: We recommend you choose All. However, if there is typically a large number of tags to be displayed, selecting Parents or Descendents will improve performance.
This acts as a default for the setting that is displayed in the Make to Stock Item Details window.
Select the check box to ignore any physical stock or inventory policy associated with the stock item. This means that the full quantity entered on the Make to Stock item will be processed by MRP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP). MRP recommends purchase orders, transfers and work orders to balance supply and demand..
Clear the check box to take into consideration the physical stock and inventory policy associated with the stock item. This means that the quantity entered on the Make to Stock item will be offset against physical stock.
