Enter selling prices per stock item
Use this to enter the selling prices per stock item. Here you update the price of a stock item for all price bands.
If you want to change your prices per price band, use the Prices for Price Band screen.
A price must be greater or equal to zero and can contain up to five decimal places. A warning is given if you set the price to zero, however you can still use zero as a sales price.
Prices are expressed in the stock unit of the item and the currency specified for the price band. The standard price band currency is base currency.
You can set a price to always be the same as the price in the Standard price band. This is useful when you want to set up a price band that includes all stock items but only some have different prices. All prices are set and updated in the Standard price band.
Note: You cannot set a price for an item which is linked to a product group that uses a mark-up price percentage.
Enter your prices
Open: Price Book > Selling Prices > Prices for Stock Item.
- Choose the stock item.
-
Enter or amend the Price for the stock item in the required price band(s).
- If you want to use the Standard price, select Use Std. The price is updated with the Standard price and can't be changed.
- Click Save.
Universal price bands will always be shown as all stock items are linked to them.
Limited price bands will only be shown if the stock item has already been added to that limited price band.
