Markup pricing
Use this option to add a markup increase (as a percentage) to an item's buying price. The percentage is set at product group level and applies to the items in that product group.
Note: You can use markup or a set price, but not both. Also you cannot discount goods that you price, using mark-up.
To use markup pricing
Open: Price Book > Selling Prices > Markup Pricing.
-
Select the Use Markup check box for the product group that you want to use markup pricing.
Note: If the product group has associated discount, the discount structures and linked items are removed.
- Enter the markup percentage value. The value must be greater than or equal to zero, the default is 0.00.
- To stop using markup pricing for a product group, clear the Use Markup check box.
- Click OK.
Note: You must set up fixed selling prices for the price band instead.
