Sequencing (system settings)
This feature is used with: BOM, Manufacturing modules.
Note: The View System Settings option allows you to view but not amend the settings.
Open: Manufacturing System Manager > Settings > System Settings | Sequencing.
Enter the following setting:
Enter the number of decimal places used for sequence numbers.
Sequence numbers are used in operation resource steps, BOM components Raw materials used to manufacture finished goods. and operations.
You can enter a number between 0 and 6.
Note: Reports always show sequence numbers to six decimal places.
Note: If you change the number of decimal places, the change is immediate on the local computer. Other users must restart Sage 200 to see the changes.

The Sage 200 Manufacturing module is now retired, from the Sage 200 Professional 2025 R2 release. We've retained the product help here for customers still using Manufacturing with older versions of Sage 200.
