Environment (system settings)
Note: The View System Settings option allows you to view but not amend the settings.
Open: Manufacturing System Manager > Settings > System Settings | Environment.
Enter the following settings:
Note: This setting only applies if you are using all Manufacturing modules.
Some of the information that you can enter for an operation can be used in the Bill of Materials module but cannot be used in the Estimating, Planning and Works Orders modules.
- On the Operation Record Details tab, do not use Overlap Quantity or enter seconds values for the resource.
- On the Operation Record Resources tab do not enter seconds values for the resource. Ensure that you add only the following resources with the following settings:
- On the Operation Record Subcontract tab, add only one supplier and no more than five Quantity Breaks. The supplier must use base currency.

Select Perform Compatibility Checks to receive a compatibility warning prompt when you save certain records and resources. This will let you view and print the explanation and resolution of the compatibility issues in the record or resource. You can then fix them as they occur. Clear the check box if you do not want to receive a compatibility warning prompt when you save these records and resources.
Note: You do not have to select this option in order to check compatibility issues. You can select Run Compatibility Check in System Utilities instead. This will allow you to view and print the explanation and resolution of all or a selection of compatibility issues in your system. You can then check and fix those at the same time.
