Operations Register
This feature is used with: Bill of Materials
The Operations Register includes labour, machine and tool processes and drawings used in manufacturing processes.
You can store setup time The time to set up a machine or production unit to perform an operation., time to completion, tooling costs Costs incurred through designing, manufacturing and purchasing production tools. Tooling costs vary, depending on whether tools can be used only once, or across jobs. and piece work The cost per item (piece). Piece work provides wage labour where workers are paid per unit of production instead of by labour time. or subcontract operations Work tasks that are subcontracted to external organisations or to other internal departments within the organisation. details.
Operations are used in Bill of Materials and Estimating modules. Details entered in the Operations Register act as defaults. You can change the details in individual BOM A stock assembly and process costing system, which provides facilities to specify the structure of finished items in terms of sub-assemblies and components.s or estimates Forecast project costs, based on expected costs of labour, machinery and operation times. In Manufacturing, estimates are produced for one-off items or non-repetitive batches..
Important! If you are using the full Manufacturing product, not all of the information in the operation can be used in the Estimating or Works Order Processing modules.

On the Operation Record Details tab, do not use Overlap Quantity or enter seconds values for the resource.

On the Operation Record Resources tab do not enter seconds values for the resource. Ensure that you add only the following resources with the following settings:

Select no more than two resources for this phase. One must be a Machine Resource or a Machine Resource Group. The other can be a Labour Resource or Labour Resource Group.
Note: Adding a Labour Resource or Labour Resource Group updates the Include in Labour Requirements check box on the works order operation when a works order is created from the BOM record.
Select Primary or Secondary for one or the other resource.
You must select Fixed Length for the resource. Runtime

Select one Labour Resource or Labour Resource Group.
Select one Machine Resource or Machine Resource Group.
Select one Tool Resource or Tool Resource Group.
Note: Only select a tool resource or resource group if you have also selected a labour and a machine resource or resource group.
Select Primary for your labour Resource Type and Secondary for your machine Resource Type or vice versa.
Note: Do not select either Primary or Secondary for your tool Resource Type selection.
Do not select Fixed Length for the resource or resource group. Teardown

On the Operation Record Subcontract tab, add only one supplier and no more than five Quantity Breaks. The supplier must use base currency.
