Data sources

Data sources unlock information through connection strings.

A connection string A unique string of characters that identifies the server where information is held and the password information to the data. includes information such as:

• The type of server The server is the computer running the Sage 200 Server software. The server provides information over the network to computers running the Sage 200 Client software. where the information is held.
• The company password if the connection string is to a company.

By default, there are the following data sources:

• An Accounts data source for the Sage 200 Accounts model.

  If you're using the Sage 200 Manufacturing module, the Sage 200 Manufacturing model uses the Accounts data source.

You can add data sources for any additional models.
