Credit information (purchase account)

Use the Credit tab to enter credit reference information for the supplier.

To enter the credit reference details

Open: Purchase Ledger > Purchase Accounts > Enter New Account

Open: Purchase Ledger > Purchase Accounts > Amend Account Details

  1. Select the Credit tab.

  2. Enter the Credit terms:

    • Trading terms text.

      Enter the text to describe the terms you have agreed with the supplier, e.g. 60 days.

    • Credit reference.

      Enter a reference for the credit terms here, if required.

    • Bureau.

      Select the credit reference bureau you use from the drop-down list.

      The default credit bureau appears here automatically when you create a new supplier. You set up the list of bureaus in Accounting System Manager.

    • Credit position.

      Select a credit reference status from the drop-down list.

      You create the list of Credit Positions in Accounting System Manager.

    • Terms agreed.

      Select this if all the credit terms have been agreed with the supplier.

  3. Enter the Credit review details:

    • A/C opened.

      Enter the date you opened the supplier's account.

    • Last credit review.

      Enter the date your credit details were last reviewed by your supplier.

    • Next credit review.

      Enter the date when your credit terms will next be reviewed by your supplier.

    • Application date.

      Enter the date you applied for credit with your supplier.

    • Date received.

      Enter the date you received your credit terms.

    • Memo.

      Enter any additional notes in the Memo area. You can enter up to 1000 characters.
