Control access to reports

You can control access to reports that are accessed from menus, by assigning the relevant reporting features to roles.

  • Print reports.

You can print reports if the appropriate report features are enabled for your user role.

    • Most reports are listed in the Reporting folder for a module, for example:

      • Nominal Ledger > Reporting > Reports > Profit and Loss Report (Detailed)
      • Sales Ledger > Reporting > Reports > Sales Ledger Aged Debtors Report (Detailed)
    • Some reports have additional features in the Basic folder that must also be enabled, for example:

      • Sales Ledger > Basic > Aged Debtors Reports
  • Design reports for menu access.

Users can design reports for menu access, if the Reporting > Report Designer feature is selected for the user role.

  • Run reports from the Self Service web app.

Users can run reports from a browser in the Self Service web app, if Web Printing is selected for the role.

  • Include Manufacturing reports in the Report Designer menu.

Users can see Manufacturing reports (in the Estimating, Planning and Works Orders modules) listed in the Report Designer menu, if the Report Designer > Manufacturing Report Designer feature is selected for the role.
