You must add the feature to a feature group. You cannot add a new feature to the root feature group The main feature group folder, called Features.. You can add a feature to more than one feature group.

Once you have created the new feature you can give it a target. The target A target is the action associated with a feature. Each feature must have a target in order to do something. For example, a target could be to open a form (window), produce a report, run any OS Invocable (any application or process you can access through the Run option in the Microsoft Windows Start menu), open a workspace (an area on your desktop which can contain several panels of information from Sage 200 modules), or open a content part (an area of a workspace). All features installed with Sage 200 and with any add-on packages have targets added automatically. allows the feature to have an action within Sage 200.

Add a new feature
Open: System Administration > Features

Right-click the feature group folder where you want to add the feature, then select Add New Feature or Add New Core Feature.
Note:You cannot add a feature directly to the root Feature group.
How to add a feature to the root Feature group- Create a new feature group directly inside the root Features group. Right-click the root Features group, then select Add New Group.
- Add a feature to your new feature group. Right-click your new feature group, then select Add New Feature.

Remove the new feature group you have just added. Right-click your new feature group, then select Remove Group.
The new feature that was inside this feature group will then be moved to the parent root Feature group.

Enter the feature Name.

The GUID uniquely identifies the feature to Sage 200.

If you want to generate a new GUID The Globally Unique Identifier is a string of characters which uniquely identifies a feature or a target., select New GUID.

If you want to manually distribute the feature and you know an existing GUID that's been used for this feature by other users, you can enter the GUID manually.
Note: The feature GUID is not related to the target's Target GUID.

Click OK to confirm the feature entries.
