Create nominal accounts

Nominal accounts can be created in the Nominal Ledger, or by importing data.

You can create nominal accounts in the following ways:

  • Create nominal accounts individually. Use this to create a single nominal account.
  • Create nominal accounts using a new cost centre or department. This uses your existing set of nominal accounts and creates associated accounts with a new cost centre or department.
  • Generate a set of nominal accounts with the same reference but different cost centres and departments. Use this to:
    • Use a new nominal account code and create account for existing cost centres and departments,
    • Use an existing account code and create additional accounts from an existing cost centres and departments.
  • Import accounts from a CSV file.
