Deleting a BOM

You can remove redundant BOM A stock assembly and process costing system, which provides facilities to specify the structure of finished items in terms of sub-assemblies and components. records, if they conform to certain criteria.

  • If you are using version control, you can remove BOMs with new and retired status, provided:

    • The BOM is not a sub-assembly on another BOM record.
    • The BOM is not checked out to another user.
    • The BOM has no outstanding allocations.
    • The BOM has never been built.
  • If you are not using version control, and you have not built the BOM previously, you can remove BOM which has no outstanding BOM allocations. See Allocating and building BOMs.
  • BOMs must not be associated with a group.

To delete a BOM

Open: Bill of Materials > Records > Delete Bill of Materials.

  • Select the BOM record that you want to delete and click Delete.

    The BOM record is deleted.
