Scrap (BOM settings)

You can choose the areas in the Bill of Materials Enquiries and Processing options where you want to calculate scrap.

To use the Scrap tab

Open: Bill of Materials > Utilities > System Set Up > Bill of Materials Settings | Scrap.

• Select Never calculate scrap if you do not want to calculate scrap in any area.
• Select Calculate scrap in all areas if you want to calculate scrap in all areas.
• Select Calculate in the following areas to choose specific areas in the Bill of Materials module to calculate scrap.

• Choose from Explosion, Implosion, Maximum Build, Trial Kitting, Costing, Allocations and Record Built Items.

  If you choose all of the areas, Calculate scrap in all areas is selected the next time you open Bill of Material Settings.

  If you choose none of the areas, Never calculate scrap is selected the next time you open Bill of Material Settings.
