Why can't I change some details on an order line?

This is because you may not have the correct permissions set. The ability to change prices, discounts and cost prices, override hold, view profit and discounts, create back to back orders, and select items from the same warehouse by default are set here for each user.

These permissions are set by default for the Administrator user but you have add these permissions for all other users.

How to set user permissions for sales orders

Open: Settings > Sales Orders > User Permissions.

1. Click Add.

2. Choose the user from the drop-down list.

3. Choose to allow the user to:

   1. View profit values on order - can see the estimated and realised profit for orders and individual order lines.

   2. View discount calculations on order lines - can see details of all discounts that have been used for the order line.

   3. Override credit hold on orders - can enter an order for a customer whose account is On Hold.

   4. Override prices and discounts on order lines - can change the price (Unit Price) and the line discount (Unit Discount) on an order line.

   5. Override stock item unit cost price on order lines - can change the cost price of a stock item.

   6. Generate purchase orders from sales orders - can generate purchase orders (back to back) from sales orders.

   7. Set a default warehouse - stock is allocated from this warehouse by default when the user enter a sales order.

4. Click OK.
