Creating new datasources
You can use information from any source on your workspaces by creating your own database queries.
You can create database queries from your Sage 200 database and from third party applications.
Before you begin
- You must know how to set up LINQ Language Integrated Query. Used to extract information from a database, which can then be used in workspaces. to create database queries. For more information about LINQ, see MSDN Microsoft Developer Network (opens in a new tab).
-
You must have a Model set up in your System Administration for each application you want to query.
A Model is a data schema that describes how the information held in a particular application can be accessed and displayed in your Sage 200 installation.
By default, there are Models set up for Sage 200 Accounts, Sage 200 CRM, and Sage 200 Manufacturing.
Note - warningSage 200 CRM is no longer supported with Sage 200 Professional from September 2021. This has been replaced by the Qmulus Qnect Connector integration. See Sage CRM - Qmulus Qnect Connector (opens in a new tab).
You will need to see your SDK documentation for more information on creating Models from third party applications.
