Set permissions for the Attachments folder
Each company should have a separate attachments folder.
If the Attachments folder is not stored in the default shared Sage folder, the Windows user account that the Sage 200 Services are run under must be given read/write permissions to modify this folder. This is the Windows account and password that was entered as part of the installation.
To set permissions for the Attachments folder
- Note the location of the company attachments folder within the company properties window.
- Within Windows Explorer, select the company attachments folder.
- Right-click and select Properties.
- Select the Security tab.
- Click Add.
- Click Locations to select the server The server is the computer running the Sage 200 Server software. The server provides information over the network to computers running the Sage 200 Client software. location.
- Enter the Windows account name that the Sage 200 Services is run under in the Enter the object names to select box.

Click OK.
The account name is added to the list of Group or user names.
Read and Write permissions are allowed for the account.
- Click OK.
