Releasing estimate stages

Estimate stages Estimating jobs involves breaking the jobs down into stages for accumulation and analysis of job costs. Each job must have at least one stage. must be released in order for estimates to be passed into planning. You can release estimate stages that have a status of Entered or Part Released.

Note: You can clear the released status for an estimate, by selecting Entered instead Released.

To release individual stages on an estimate

Open: Estimating > Records > Amend Estimate | Stages.

  1. Select the stage that you want to release.
  2. Select Released from the Status drop-down.
  3. Click Save.

To release all stages on an estimate

Open: Estimating > Records > Amend Estimate | Stages.

  1. Click Release All, and confirm that you want to release all the stages for the estimate.
  2. Click Save.

To release all stages on a number of estimates at once

Open: Estimating > Processing > Release All.

  1. Select the estimates that you want to release.

  2. To release all stages for the selected estimates, click Release.

To release stages for groups of multi item estimates

Open: Estimating > Records > Amend Multi-Item Estimate.

  1. On the Main Details tab, select the estimate number from the Estimate No. list. The existing multi item estimates are displayed in the grid.
  2. In the grid, select the multi item estimates you want to release.
  3. Click Release.
  4. Click Save.
