Add a comment to the sales order

Open: Sales Order Processing > Sales Orders > New Sales Order

Open: Sales Order Processing > Sales Orders > Amend Sales Order

You can add comments as lines on the order, for example to include packing or delivery instructions.

  1. Go to the Order Details tab.

  2. Add a line to the order and select Comment as the Type.

  3. Enter the comment you want to include in the Description.

  4. You can enter more details for the comment, such as whether to display the comment on customer documents and picking lists.

    • To view and enter more details, select More actions > More details.

Comment line details

  • Amend the comment in the Item description, if required.

  • Select Show on customer documents if you want this comment to appear on the order acknowledgement and invoice that your customer receives.

  • Select Show on picking list if you want this comment to appear on the picking lists printed for this order.

    These comments for the order will be included on a separate page in the picking list, as the comments are not specific to a particular warehouse or item.

    The picking list includes separate pages for each warehouse, which contain the picking list details of the individual items in the order. To change the picking list details for order items on the warehouse picking list pages, find the item in the order and select More actions > Set picking list / despatch note.
