Import System Administration settings

If you have exported settings (users, roles and features) from a Sage 200 Professional deployment, use Import settings to import the settings into another Sage 200 Professional deployment.

You import the export file completely so all the information that was included in the export file is imported.

  • The import of user information will set up a new user record for each user record in the import file.

Note: User passwords are not exported and so are not imported.

  • If roles are imported, a new role record is created for each role record in the import file. User to role mappings will be established by the import of roles.

  • If features and roles are imported, feature to role mappings are created in the new system.

Note: Each feature and feature target GUID must be unique and a feature and feature target will only be imported if there is not already a matching GUID in the new deployment.

To import administration information

Open: System Administration.

  1. Right-click on Sage 200 SA and select Import settings.

  2. To import, click OK.

  3. Browse to the XML file location, select it and click OK.

  4. Once the import is complete, select Action > Refresh.

The data in System Administration is refreshed and you can view the data you have imported.
