Create new database queries
You can use information from any source on your workspaces by creating your own database queries.
You can create database queries from your Sage 200 database and from third party applications.
Before you begin
-
You must know how to set up LINQ Language Integrated Query. Used to extract information from a database, which can then be used in workspaces. to create database queries. For more information about LINQ, see MSDN Microsoft Developer Network (opens in a new tab).
-
You must have a Model set up in your System Administration for each application you want to query.
A Model is a data schema that describes how the information held in a particular application can be accessed and displayed in your Sage 200 installation.
By default, there is a Model set up for Sage 200 Accounts.
If you're using the Sage 200 Manufacturing module, a model for Sage 200 Manufacturing is set up that uses the Accounts data source.
-
You will need to see your SDK documentation for more information on creating Models from third party applications.
-
To view or amend existing Sage 200 Workspace Queries you will require a SDK licence. See Copy Workspace Queries from SDK.
