Copy Workspace Queries from SDK

Note - information

To view or amend existing Sage 200 Workspace Queries you will require a SDK licence.

To edit the Sage 200 default Workspace Queries, you must first copy the queries from the SDK to Sage 200.

  1. Browse to the SDK installation folder and open Workspace Queries\Sage 200 Accounts.

    By default this folder will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage 200 SDK\Workspace Queries\Sage 200 Accounts.

  2. Copy all the queries from the SDK folder to your Sage 200 server in the folder C:\Sage\im content\default\queries.

To edit an existing query

Open: Workspace Designer > Content Part Designer > Query Editor.

  1. Open the Query Editor.

    1. Select Tools > Run Workspace Designer.

    2. From the Workspace Designer toolbar select Content Part Designer.

    3. From the Content Part Designer toolbar select Query Editor.

  2. From the Queries pane (on the right), select the query.

  3. In the centre pane, edit the LINQ query text. To see a preview of the changes, click Preview. The preview appears on the Results tab on the bottom pane.

  4. To save your changes, click Save All. This saves changes to all queries not just the one displayed.

The query is now saved but is not used in any workspaces at this point. This allows you to review your queries first.

Note: Those queries that are saved but not yet used in workspaces are stored in the folder ...Sage\IM Content\Modifications\Queries\Pending.

  5. To add the amended query to your workspace, in the General Settings select True from the InProduction drop-down list.
