Markup pricing

Use this option to add a markup increase (as a percentage) to an item's buying price. The percentage is set at product group level and applies to the items in that product group.

Note: You can use markup or a set price, but not both. Also you cannot discount goods that you price, using mark-up.

To use markup pricing

Open: Price Book > Selling Prices > Markup Pricing.

  1. Select the Use Markup check box for the product group that you want to use markup pricing.

Note: If the product group has associated discount, the discount structures and linked items are removed.

  2. Enter the markup percentage value. The value must be greater than or equal to zero, the default is 0.00.
  3. To stop using markup pricing for a product group, clear the Use Markup check box.
  4. Note: You must set up fixed selling prices for the price band instead.

  5. Click OK.
