Log in to Sage 200
How to
Log in to Sage 200 desktop
When you open Sage 200, you are automatically logged in using your account credentials.
-
Sage 200 Professional deployed on-premise: You are logged in to Sage 200 using your Windows user account.
Note: You only have to enter your Windows user name and password if the Enforce Login option has been set in System Administration.
-
For Sage 200 Professional deployed via the Sage Provisioning Portal: You are logged in to Sage 200 using the account that you used to sign in to Remote Desktop.
If you need to be added to the user list, or change your name, contact your administrator.
Change users
If different users need to access Sage 200 from the same PC:
-
The current logged in user must close Sage 200 and log off from Windows on the PC.
-
The new user must log in to Windows on the PC, then open Sage 200.
Log out of Sage 200 desktop
To log out of Sage 200, just close the application window.
Disconnected user logins
If a user disconnects from Sage 200 in an uncontrolled way during a session, they can appear to be still logged in to Sage 200. For example, you may see a message that you can't access a feature because another user is already using Sage 200, even though they are not using the system.
You can check for and clear any disconnected logins by using User Login Status.
-
Select Tools > User login Status and move to the Disconnected logins tab.
See User Login Status.
Use 2-factor authentication
Note: This is only applicable for Sage 200 Professional deployed via the Sage Provisioning Portal.
You can use 2-factor authentication to increase the security of your account. When you log in to Sage 200 or the Sage Provisioning Portal, you will have to enter a passcode that is sent to your phone.
If you want to use 2-factor authentication, see this article Setting up and removing 2-factor authentication in the Sage Provisioning Portal (opens in a new tab).
