How to

View stock monthly trading figures

Use this to check what you've bought and sold for a particular stock item.

Open: Stock Control > Enquiries > Stock Monthly Trading Figures.

  1. Select the stock item Code.

  2. Select either the Sales Analysis tab or Purchase Analysis tab to view the figures you are interested in.

  3. To filter the trading figures, select Refine Analysis.

    • You can filter the figures by Warehouse, and by Customer (for sales) or Supplier (for purchases).

Note: The terms Warehouse and Bin can be customised, so they might have different names in your Sage 200 company. You can customise these by setting Configurable names in Stock Control Settings (in the Sage 200 desktop).

    • Trading figures are displayed for 12 months by default, but you can change this by setting the Months to display.

  4. To view the stock item transactions for a particular month, select the figure in the Quantity sold column to move to the Stock Item History page.

Move figures from this period to the last period

The sales and purchase values in Grand totals for full periods are totals for your stock trading periods.

You can use these stock trading periods to compare the total quantity and value of stock items bought and sold between two periods. It is entirely your choice how long each period lasts, so you might start a new period every two months, every quarter, or every year.

Use Reset Trading Values in the Sage 200 desktop when you want to start a new trading period for your stock, and move figures from the current period to the last period.

When you reset the trading values, the period figures for each stock item are updated:

  • The figures for the current period (this period) are moved to the last period.

  • The figures for the current period (this period) are set to zero.

  • The stock item values for the current and last period (Grand totals for full periods) are stored in Stock Control, and are kept until you manually reset the trading values and start a new period.

  • The stock item monthly values can be displayed for the last 5 years (60 months), and these values are derived from the Stock Transaction History records.
