General

Use these keyboard shortcuts in screens.

General keyboard shortcuts

Shortcut keys	Description
Tab Shift+Tab	Move to the next or previous control on the page.
Space	Select an item, such as a check-box.
Enter	Select a button, a link, or an item in a drop down list.
Home End	Move to the start or end of a text box.
Left and right arrow	Move between tabs.
Escape	In a message with two options, Escape will usually select the button for the secondary option. For example, if the options are Save and Cancel, then Enter will select Save and Escape will select Cancel.

Lists

Use these keyboard shortcuts in any list (table).

List keyboard shortcuts

Shortcut keys	Description
Space	Select a row in a list.
Enter	Select a cell in a list to enter information (if it is editable). Change the sort order of a list column, when you're in the column header.
Home End	Move to the first or last item in a list.
Left, right, up, down arrow	Move between cells in a list. Move between tabs when you open the menu in the column header.
Ctrl + Enter	Open the menu button, when you're in the column header.
