Manufacturing options (product group)

If you are using Manufacturing, the Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) settings in the Product Group let you control the warehouse the stock is recorded against.

To set up Manufacturing

Open: Stock Control > Stock Maintenance > Product Groups.

1. Click Add.

   The Add New Product Group window appears.

2. Select the Manufacturing tab.
3. Select the default Cost Heading for stock items in the product group.

Note: You can only select from Materials cost heading types.

4. If you are using Manufacturing and you have chosen to use multiple locations on the stock settings Options tab, the MRP make recommendation location options allow you to specify where you want finished goods to be placed.

   • Use demand/completion warehouse.

     Select this to use the warehouse that is listed on the works order.

   • Use default warehouse.

     Select this to use the warehouse that has been specified as the default in Sage 200 Manufacturing.

5. If you are using Manufacturing and you have chosen to use multiple locations on the stock settings Options tab, the MRP Component Replenishment options allow you to check whether you have enough items in stock.

   • Use demand/completion warehouse.

     Select this to check the warehouse on the works order when the recommendation is raised.

   • Use warehouse hierarchy.

     Select this to check the warehouse hierarchy set up in Sage 200 Manufacturing.

6. Click OK to save these details.
