Update pending transactions
Before you begin, check to see if you have any transactions waiting to be posted to the Purchase Ledger. Use Period End Routines > Report Pending Transactions.
Open: Purchase Ledger > Period End Routines > Update Pending Transactions.

Select the order you want to add the entries to the Purchase Ledger.
Choose from Transaction reference, Transaction date, or Order Entry.

If you have manually imported transactions, select Update Cash Book to add purchase payments and receipts to the relevant bank accounts.

Enter the date up to which you want to update the supplier transactions.

Click OK.
Manually import transactions using the Pending Transactions file
The pending supplier transactions file can be used to manually import supplier transactions. This can be done by your Business Partner or using a third-party software application.
Once transactions have been added to the file, use Update Pending Transactions to add the transactions to the Purchase Ledger.
Select Update Cash Book to add purchase transactions to the relevant bank accounts.
To import foreign currency transactions, you must select Update Cash Book to add these transactions to the Purchase Ledger and the Cash Book.

Outcomes of updating pending transactions

Supplier account history is updated.

Supplier account balance and turnover values are adjusted.

The value for the total outstanding entries in the Purchase Ledger is adjusted.

The Nominal Ledger is updated, in accordance with the Purchase Ledger setup.

The records held for the VAT codes used on the supplier entries are updated.

New VAT entries are created.

The Cash Book is updated, if you have selected Update Cash Book.
About pending transactions
You can choose when to update supplier accounts with manually imported transactions.
Use Update pending transactions to add these transactions to the Purchase Ledger.
