Take payments using Invoice Payments or Opayo (formerly Sage Pay)

You can use the Sage Invoice Payments and Opayo services with Sage 200.

Both services provide a great way for your customers to quickly and easily pay you online, and for you to record those payments in Sage 200.

  • Sage Invoice Payments integrates with the payment providers Stripe, PayPal, and GoCardless.

    • Use Sage Invoice Payments to request payments from your customers, using the payment providers Stripe, PayPal, and GoCardless.

    • You generate invoices with a Pay Now button, then email the invoices to your customers. Your customers then select the Pay Now button to pay the invoice using the payment provider that you've chosen.

    • After your customer pays the invoice (using a Pay Now button on the invoice), the transactions can be downloaded and automatically allocated to invoices in Sage 200.

Note: The Invoice Payments service only works for invoices that you have emailed to your customers and have been paid using the Pay Now button. The service works with for invoices produced from Sales Order Processing or Invoicing, but not for invoices that you've manually entered for customers (Sales Ledger > Enter Transactions > Invoice), and not for invoices that you've imported into Sage 200.

  • Opayo is an online card service provider, similar to PayPal.

    • You can use Opayo to send invoices, statements and chase letters to your customers, to be paid using Opayo.
    • The customer chooses how much they want to pay and enters their card details. As their Sage 200 customer account details are included on the transaction, you can easily find out what they have paid.
    • The transactions can be downloaded and automatically allocated to invoices in Sage 200.
    • You can also enter card payments directly into Sage 200, for example when a customer is paying over the phone.
    Note - information

Opayo is the new name for Sage Pay. If you're using Sage 200 Professional versions up to 2020 R1, where you see references to "Sage Pay" in the app, these are referring to the Opayo payment service.
