Update 25/08/2023 - 2023 R2

New features in the Web Portal

We're pleased to announce these features have been added to the Web Portal.

Web Extensions and customisation

You can now customise web screens using two different methods:

  • You can customise web screens directly in the Web Portal by using Web Extensions.

Web screens can be customised by using a JSON schema file, without having to write complex JavaScript.

    See Web Extensions.

  • You can use the SDK tools to bundle a range of customisations directly into an SDBX Package. You can then distribute the SDBX package so it can be installed as an add-on using System Administration.

This feature also allows for greater flexibility when writing customisations, as you can include other JavaScript libraries, and write customisations in JavaScript.

Note: This functionality is only available to members of the UK Developer Programme.

To learn more about producing your own customised web screens, visit the Sage Developer site (opens in a new tab).

General

  • If there are any warnings or errors when you're entering information on a web screen with tabs, these will be displayed in the tab heading so you can easily find them.

  • You can now choose the default allocation date recorded for customer and supplier transactions. The allocation date for transactions can be set as either the date of the receipt/payment, or the date you record the allocation in Sage 200.

To choose the default allocation date, see Default allocation date (customers) and Default allocation date (suppliers).

General

  • If there is an active memo, Active is displayed next to the Memo tab.
