Log on

Only administrators can log on to System Administration.

  • Sage 200 Professional deployed on-premise: Your Windows user account must be a member of the Administrators Group.

Note: You only have to enter your Windows credentials when you log in if Enable Enforce Logon has been set. See Enforce logon status.

  • Sage 200 Professional deployed via the Sage Provisioning Portal: Your user account in the Sage Provisioning Portal must be assigned to the Customer Operations Agent (Operator) role.

Background tasks

If Sage 200 detects any background task These are long running processes, for example, creating and updating databases., either a task started by another user and currently running, or a task that was set off in the past that has failed, you will see the message: One or more background tasks are in progress. Do you want to clean up these tasks now?

Unless you know you are the only user, running Sage 200 at the present time, we recommend that you click No. This will prevent you interfering with their tasks.

Once you know that no other Sage 200 user is currently performing a background task, select the link to Clean up background tasks from the System Administration information page.
