Using the component traceability window
Component traceability The option to track materials through the system. This is usually by means of serial or batch numbers on the stock items. applies when building BOM A stock assembly and process costing system, which provides facilities to specify the structure of finished items in terms of sub-assemblies and components.s in Bill of Materials and issuing stock in Works Orders.
To confirm serial numbers
- In the Component Traceability window, click the + (plus) sign next to the traceable built item. The components are expanded.
- Select the traceable component in the Traceable Built Items list. Traceable components available are displayed in the Traceable Components Used list.
- Select the components used in manufacturing the item.
- Click OK.
The Sage 200 Manufacturing module is now retired, from the Sage 200 Professional 2025 R2 release. We've retained the product help here for customers still using Manufacturing with older versions of Sage 200.
